What is BECMI Dungeons and Dragons?

When I first heard this term, I had no idea what was being talked about.   Once I understood, I wanted to share with everyone.   BECMI D&D simply refers to a series of Dungeons & Dragons box sets published from 1983 to 1986, these sets include:

Thus, the name BECMI is derived from the initials of these five sets, and it is believed that it represents the most comprehensive version of the Basic series of D&D rules. This edition is known for its structured approach to gameplay and character progression, making it accessible for new players while still offering depth for experienced ones.   Currently, the Masters and Immortals Boxed Sets are one of the more valuable and sought after collectables.
